Job summary

Solaria Group is recruiting Senior Therapeutic Care Practitioners across Stoke-on-Trent and Crewe for permanent roles within a therapeutic residential setting. You will lead shifts, provide trauma-informed care and guide a caring team to support children's development.

The role focuses on safeguarding, individual care plans, and building resilience while maintaining high standards and accurate records. A full UK driving licence is desirable.

Qualifications

• Previous experience working within children's residential care.
• Level 3 or Level 4 qualification in Residential Childcare.
• Strong safeguarding and trauma-informed care understanding.
• Confident leading shifts and supporting colleagues.
• Excellent communication, organisational and relationship-building skills.
• Full UK driving licence is desirable.
• Interested in experienced Residential Support Workers and Senior Residential Care Workers.

Responsibilities

• Providing high-quality, person-centred and trauma-informed care to children and young people.
• Leading shifts and supporting colleagues to maintain consistently high standards of care.
• Building positive, trusting relationships with young people, promoting their emotional wellbeing and development.
• Supporting young people to develop independence, confidence and essential life skills.
• Mentoring less experienced team members and contributing to a positive team culture.
• Implementing individual care plans, safeguarding procedures and therapeutic approaches.
• Maintaining accurate records and ensuring compliance with Ofsted regulations and safeguarding standards.
• Participating in sleep-in duties in accordance with the agreed rota.
