Job summary

Solaria Group, in partnership with a specialist children’s residential care provider, is recruiting Senior Therapeutic Care Practitioners for Stoke-on-Trent and Crewe. The role focuses on delivering therapeutic, trauma-informed care and leading care teams to support young people.

Successful candidates will have experience in residential settings, Level 3/4 qualifications, and a strong commitment to safeguarding and emotional wellbeing.

Qualifications

• Previous experience in children's residential care.
• Level 3 or Level 4 qualification in Residential Childcare.
• Strong safeguarding knowledge and trauma-informed approaches.
• Confidence in leading shifts and supporting other care professionals.
• Excellent communication, organisational and relationship-building skills.

Responsibilities

• Provide high-quality, person-centred and trauma-informed care to children and young people.
• Lead shifts and support colleagues to maintain high standards of care.
• Build positive, trusting relationships with young people and promote wellbeing.
• Help young people develop independence and essential life skills.
• Mentor less experienced team members and contribute to a positive culture.
• Implement individual care plans, safeguarding procedures and therapeutic approaches.
• Maintain accurate records and ensure Ofsted safeguarding compliance.
• Participate in sleep-in duties as per rota.
