Job summary

KIMS Hospital in Orpington is seeking an experienced Senior Theatre Practitioner – Scrub for a permanent, full-time role. You will lead surgical lists, support colleagues, and maintain high theatre standards in a private healthcare setting.

The position offers 40 hours per week (4 days, Monday–Saturday with occasional Saturdays) and a salary range of £36,267–£48,000 plus a welcome bonus up to £3,000. Joinees join a collaborative theatre team with ongoing development opportunities.

Qualifications

• Registered Nurse (RN) or ODP with current registration.
• Experience leading, planning and organising surgical lists.
• Experience supervising or supporting theatre team members.
• Commitment to delivering safe, high-quality patient care.

Responsibilities

• Lead planning, organisation and running of surgical lists, ensuring efficiency and safety.
• Provide guidance and mentorship to junior theatre staff.
• Deputise for the Lead when required to develop theatre leadership skills.
• Collaborate with surgeons, anaesthetists and multidisciplinary team to ensure excellent patient care.
• Prepare rooms and equipment for procedures and manage resources to minimise waste.
