KIMS Hospital is seeking a registered nurse or ODP for a one-year bank post in the Theatres team, covering recovery and scrub with a focus on safe, high-quality care for patients recovering from anaesthesia.

Shift pattern is Mondays and Saturdays 07:30–18:00, with bank shifts available around other commitments. Applicants must have recovery or scrub experience from an acute hospital and be eligible to work in the UK.

Qualifications

• Post-registration clinical experience in recovery and/or scrub in an acute hospital.
• Knowledge of clinical governance and its application in practice.
• Evidence of continuous professional development and its application.
• Ability to work across recovery and scrub with independence in assessing patient needs.
• DBS and eligibility to work in the UK as required.

Responsabilités

• Work primarily across recovery and scrub within the theatres team.
• Assess patient care needs independently and act as a resource for staff.
• Implement care plans and evaluate patient outcomes.
• Communicate with Sterile Services, wards and Imaging to ensure smooth patient care.
• Protect patients' comfort, dignity and privacy at all times.

A one-year bank post in the Theatres team at KIMS Hospital, where the practitioner works across recovery and scrub. The work centres on safe, high-quality care for patients recovering from anaesthesia, with independent assessment of patient needs and close working with other departments. Shifts run on Mondays and Saturdays from 07:30 to 18:00, with the option to choose bank shifts around other commitments. Applicants need to be a registered nurse or operating department practitioner with recovery or scrub experience from an acute hospital.

Registration & licences

• Registered practitioner (RN or ODP)

Experience

• Post-registration clinical experience as a recovery and/or scrub theatre practitioner in an acute hospital (NHS or independent)
• Knowledge of clinical governance and its application
• Practical experience of change management
• Evidence of continuous professional development and its application

• Satisfactory DBS certificate
