Job summary

Circle Health Group in Enfield is seeking a Lead Theatre Practitioner to join the Kings Oak and Cavell Hospitals theatre team. This full-time role (37.5 hours) includes a flexible shift pattern with weekends and on‑call, with a salary up to £53,550 depending on experience and qualifications.

The ideal candidate will be an NMC/HCPC registered practitioner with extensive theatre experience, strong leadership, and commitment to patient safety and continuous professional development.

Qualifications

• NMC or HCPC registered practitioner with significant theatre experience (scrub, recovery, or anaesthetics).
• ENB 998 and/or mentorship course.
• Approved/recognised anaesthetic course.
• ILS.
• Specialist clinical training in a defined area (e.g. orthopaedics, robotics, cardiac).

Responsibilities

• Lead delivery of high-quality, patient-centred care across the perioperative pathway as a specialist or lead within the team.
• Ensure patient safety checks and WHO surgical safety processes are followed.
• Maintain clinical credibility and lead in complex or high-risk situations.
• Provide day-to-day leadership and supervision for theatre practitioners and support staff.
• Mentor and coach junior staff, including students and newly qualified team members.
