Job summary

Nuffield Health Brentwood Hospital is seeking a Senior Theatre Practitioner (ODP) to join our anaesthetic team. You will be registered with HCPC and bring perioperative care experience, leading theatre activity and collaborating with multidisciplinary colleagues to maintain high standards of patient care.

The role is permanent, full-time (37.5 hours/week), with a negotiable salary depending on experience. We offer a supportive environment with a focus on governance and patient safety.

Qualifications

• Registered with HCPC and holds relevant perioperative qualifications.
• Strong attention to detail with post-registration experience.

As a Senior Theatre Practitioner (ODP) at our Brentwood Hospital, you’re registered with the appropriate governing body and you hold the relevant qualifications and experience, including HCPC registration. You bring a passion for high standards in perioperative care, a meticulous eye for detail and post-registration experience. You’re a focused, flexible and motivated team worker.

• Prioritise patient safety, taking appropriate actions and encouraging colleagues to call out and report safety concerns.
• Promote a safe working environment for patients, visitors and staff (in full compliance with all policies and procedures).
• Support governance activity, ensuring full compliance with Nuffield Health’s Quality governance framework and national standards, e.g. CQC/HIW/HIS Regulation, fundamentals of care, professional standards and evidence-based guidelines.
• Provide and lead care management and delivery, treating patients, families, friends and representatives with kindness, dignity, respect and compassion and support them to cope emotionally with their care, treatment or condition.
• Collaborate with other clinicians within the Hospital, building strong working relationships that enhance patient care and service delivery.
• Take charge of a theatre, co-ordinating and delivering work activities and leading junior practitioners.
