Job summary

Nuffield Health Brentwood Hospital is seeking a Senior Theatre Practitioner – Recovery to join our Brentwood site. You will be registered with NMC or HCPC, bring post-registration recovery experience, and work autonomously within a supportive multidisciplinary team.

You will require high level airway skills and the ability to care for adults and paediatric patients, with a commitment to safe, evidence-based practice.

Qualifications

• Registered with NMC or HCPC and current practice.
• Post-registration experience in recovery or theatre settings.
• Strong clinical governance and patient safety focus.

Responsibilities

• Be part of a close-knit multidisciplinary team.
• Work with consultants and colleagues to deliver quality care.
• Manage a varied caseload with state-of-the-art equipment.
• Supervise and develop junior staff.
• Provide high-quality, evidence-based patient care.
• Maintain continuity of patient care across shifts.
• Demonstrate high-level airway management skills.
• Support both adult and paediatric patients.
• Be willing to undertake ILS/PILS.

As a Senior Theatre Practitioner - ODP/RN in Recovery at our Brentwood Hospital, you’ll be registered with the appropriate governing body. You have the qualifications and experience that are relevant to your registration, including NMC or HCPC. Plus, you bring post-registration experience, flexibility and excellent communication skills. You’re also a great team worker.

As a Senior Theatre Practitioner - ODP in Recovery, you will:

• Be part of our close-knit multidisciplinary team.

• Work with leading consultants and like-minded professionals who respect and value what you bring.

• Enjoy a varied caseload with state-of-the-art technology, equipment and facilities.

• Supervise, support and develop junior members of staff.

• Create high-quality care and patient experiences that are clinically effective and evidence based.

• Interact well with colleagues on the ward, understanding that continuity in patient care is key.

• Possess high level airway skills

• Be competent to work with adults and paediatric patients

• Be willing to undertake ILS/PILS
