Job summary
We are seeking a skilled and passionate Senior Theatre Practitioner to join our busy Cardiothoracic Operating Theatre at The Royal Wolverhampton NHS Trust. This is an exciting opportunity for a motivated registered nurse or ODP with cardiothoracic theatre experience to make a real impact in delivering high-quality patient care.
Main duties of the jobAs a senior theatre practitioner, you will support the perioperative team in delivering safe and effective patient care during scrub, anaesthetic, and recovery roles. You will act as a team leader, mentoring junior staff and coordinating theatre lists to ensure the safe organisation of theatre. You will contribute to quality improvement initiatives and uphold infection control and patient safety standards. You will work closely with the theatre manager to provide a seamless link between senior colleagues and the wider theatre team.
