As a Senior Theatre Practitioner at our Cambridge Hospital, you’re registered with the appropriate governing body, hold the relevant qualifications, and have the necessary experience, including HCPC registration. You bring a passion for high standards in perioperative care, attention to detail, and post-registration experience. You’re a focused, flexible, and motivated team worker.

As a Senior Theatre Practitioner, you will:

  • Prioritise patient safety, take appropriate actions, and encourage colleagues to report safety concerns.
  • Promote a safe working environment for patients, visitors, and staff, in full compliance with all policies and procedures.
  • Support governance activities, ensuring compliance with Nuffield Health’s Quality governance framework and national standards, such as CQC, HIW, HIS regulations, fundamentals of care, professional standards, and evidence-based guidelines.
  • Provide and lead care management and delivery, treating patients, families, and visitors with kindness, dignity, respect, and compassion, and supporting them emotionally.
  • Collaborate with other clinicians within the hospital to enhance patient care and service delivery.
  • Take charge of a theatre, coordinating and delivering work activities, and leading junior practitioners.
