The role will include but is not limited to:
- Tester in Charge Duties as per NR/L2/30014

Person Specification
The minimum requirement necessary upon entry to the role is an IRSE licence in the following categories:
- 1.3.170, 1.3.190 with 1.3.180 advantageous
- The minimum Signalling work experience necessary to perform the job is typically 5-7 years of testing experience, preceded by suitable design, construction, or maintenance experience, or evidence of substantial experience in a similar role.
- The role requires that the following certificates and/or licences be held or pursued: PTS AC, DCCR, ICI, COSS/SWL, Driving Licence, Emergency Life Support, Fire Awareness, Asbestos Awareness, Manual Handling, IOSH Working/Managing Safely, SPWEE, OLEC 1. Various Modular Testing Certifications including 1, 2, 3B, and 4.
Key Responsibilities
- Undertake Tester in Charge and Principles Testing duties within their authority limits in accordance with NR/L2/SIG/30014, relevant standards, and IRSE requirements.
- Plan and execute testing activities in accordance with NR/L2/SIG/30014, relevant standards, and IRSE requirements.
- Ensure all staff under their control are briefed on testing activities in a timely manner, in accordance with NR/L2/SIG/30014.
- Ensure all test equipment is correctly calibrated & controlled, and details are recorded on briefing sheets.
- Ensure testing is conducted according to the approved Testing Specification.
- Report any occurrences of undue pressure or coercion during testing.
- Adapt to organizational changes and meet operational requirements.
- Perform any other reasonable duties as required.
