We are looking for a talented Senior Tester to join the Unified Content Catalogue team in Newcastle, working within the BBC Product Group.
The BBC has extensive content shown across multiple brands like iPlayer, Sounds, News, and Sport, and used across various devices like TV, mobile, and Web.
We store content about programmes, topics, weather, Sounds episodes, videos, news and sport articles, elections, sports data and stats, live pages for breaking news and big events.
The UCC team will unify our content and metadata across the BBC, exposing it via a single API using AWS, Node, and Typescript, with a consistent schema. This role offers an opportunity to work on greenfield projects at the BBC, responsible for design, architecture, and initial development.

As a Senior Tester within UCC, you will be involved in all aspects of the SDLC, including architecture, design, specifications, testing, development, and delivery. You will review new features, assess testing scope, and provide estimations and feedback to the team and delivery managers. Additionally, you will help shape team culture, set test expectations, and align testing approaches with team practices and BBC strategic goals.
