Job summary

Jobtailor in the United Kingdom is seeking an experienced Test Manager to coordinate a team of Test Engineers across software and hardware systems within complex, multi-supplier programmes.

You will drive test automation, plan and monitor execution, review test cases and evidence, ensure traceability, support test environments, and mentor engineers while collaborating with Engineering, Project, Environment and Infrastructure teams.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in computer science, software engineering or related discipline.
• 8+ years in software/hardware, including 3+ years leading System Test activities.
• ISTQB Foundation certification mandatory.
• Strong experience planning, reviewing, and executing System Test plans and tests.
• Experience coordinating small technical teams.
• Knowledge of functional testing, defect management, QA principles.
• Experience with TestRail, Jira, Confluence.
• Experience with test environments, PCI equipment and lab facilities.
• Strong analytical and organizational skills; excellent communication.

Responsibilities

• Coordinate day-to-day activities of a team of Test Engineers.
• Plan, organise and monitor test execution against schedules.
• Drive test automation initiatives and increase automation coverage.
• Ensure requirements are traceable through test cases and execution results.
• Coordinate defect management and root cause analysis.
• Support commissioning, configuration and maintenance of test environments.
• Ensure compliance with project processes and quality standards.
• Provide guidance and mentoring to Test Engineers.
• Collaborate with Engineering, Development, Project, Environment and Infra teams.
• Drive continuous improvement of testing processes and tools.
• Coach team in management tools for Requirements, Test, Defects.
• Ensure compliance with Testing Management Plan and System Test Strategy.
• Analyze testing inputs from technical documentation.
