Job summary

The One Group is seeking a Senior Test Engineer in the Cambridge area to strengthen our testing capabilities across complex embedded systems. You will work with cross-functional teams to drive quality and efficiency, from manual testing to automated framework development.

We value hands-on testing, strong problem-solving, and clear communication as you contribute to design and requirements reviews and help mentor junior colleagues.

Qualifications

• Experience in manual and automated testing of complex or embedded systems.
• Strong test planning, defect tracking, and quality documentation.
• Experience using automation tools and test management systems.
• Eligibility for UK security clearance (minimum 3 years UK residency).

Responsibilities

• Design, write, and execute functional, regression, system, and performance tests.
• Verifying software and hardware solutions to meet customer and regulatory requirements.
• Collaborating with cross-functional teams to identify, reproduce, and resolve issues.
• Maintaining test environments, tools, and documentation for quality tracking.
• Developing and improving automation frameworks and scripts to enhance test coverage.
• Participating in design and requirements reviews to provide testability insights.
• Supporting continuous improvement within the testing function.
