Job summary

Ronald James Group is partnering with an established FinTech in Newcastle to hire a QA Automation Engineer. This hands-on role strengthens QA through automation, AI-assisted testing and continuous improvement to accelerate delivery.

You will design, maintain and execute automated UI and API tests, integrate with CI/CD, identify defects, and collaborate with Product, Engineering and QA teams to raise software quality.

Qualifications

• Hands-on experience designing and maintaining automated UI and API tests.
• Proficient with Playwright, Cypress or Selenium.
• Experience with AI-assisted testing tools is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Design, maintain and execute automated UI and API tests.
• Use AI-assisted testing tools for test creation and failure analysis.
• Write clear, reliable test code and integrate tests into CI/CD pipelines.
• Debug failing tests and identify issues across products, tests, data and environments.
• Maintain stable regression test suites and plan improvements to QA practices.
• Collaborate with Product, Engineering and QA teams to identify test opportunities.
