Job summary

We are seeking an experienced Senior Test Automation Engineer to join the Information Intelligence Group (IIG) of CACI UK on live public sector projects. The role focuses on automated testing within a CI/CD lifecycle, leveraging Java, Selenium WebDriver and a range of open-source tools in AWS environments.

You will work in Agile/DevOps teams to deliver robust test automation and cloud-based validation. Candidates should have strong hands-on Java and Selenium experience, plus AWS cloud testing

Qualifications

• Proven experience in test automation engineering with strong hands-on Java and Selenium WebDriver.
• Experience designing, developing and maintaining scalable UI and API automation frameworks using open-source tools.
• Commercial experience with AWS cloud environments and testing cloud-native applications/services.
• Practical experience in Agile and DevOps delivery, applying TDD, BDD, ATDD and continuous testing.
• Strong understanding of software testing methodologies: functional, integration, regression, end-to-end, exploratory and API testing.
• Experience working in Agile environments with Gherkin/Cucumber.
• Extensive experience using Jira and Confluence.

Responsibilities

• Develop and maintain automated test solutions using Java, Selenium WebDriver and open-source tools.
• Design, build, and execute automated UI and API test frameworks for complex digital delivery programmes.
• Perform testing within AWS cloud environments and validate cloud-based services and integrations.
• Work in Agile/DevOps teams applying TDD, BDD, ATDD and continuous testing practices.
• Integrate automated testing into CI/CD pipelines for reliable software delivery.
• Deliver automation using Selenium, Playwright, Cypress, WebdriverIO, Cucumber, Serenity BDD, Robot Framework and Rest Assured.
• Execute functional, integration, regression and end-to-end testing, with manual testing where appropriate.
• Collaborate with Devs, BAs, POs and delivery teams to define test scenarios and acceptance criteria.
• Contribute to QA process improvements and testing standards across projects.
