Cambridge GaN Devices Ltd is seeking an experienced Test and Applications Engineer in Cambridge, UK, with some international travel. You will define how CGD tests GaN power devices and power ICs, architecting characterization and reliability test hardware, and leading delivery with cross-functional teams.

Key responsibilities include developing test methods, automating long-duration tests, and collaborating with suppliers, test houses, and partners to optimize test capabilities.

Qualificações

• Degree in Electrical/Electronic Engineering with industry test experience.
• Strong communication with suppliers and partners to source/evaluate test equipment.
• Experience leading technical workstreams and mentoring engineers.
• Proven experience architecting test hardware and test systems for semiconductor devices.
• Broad knowledge of test equipment (SMUs, curve tracers, oscilloscopes, HV probes, switch matrices).
• Mixed-signal circuit knowledge to design or specify test hardware.
• Understanding of power conversion circuits and switching measurements.
• Experience with LTSpice and test automation (Python).

Responsabilidades

• Define test hardware architecture for CGD test equipment.
• Specify the test system: instruments or custom hardware.
• Architect multi-site hardware testing.
• Implement reliability and stress tests.
• Write test hardware specs and lead bring-up.
• Ensure measurement integrity and calibration procedures.
• Write and maintain test system docs.
• Develop characterization and verification test methods.
• Design automation for unattended tests.
• Support Operations and external partners with hardware.
• Define test campaigns with leadership.
