Job summary

Search-Select LTD is looking for a Senior Test Analyst to join their team in the United Kingdom. In this role, you will design and execute tests, collaborate with teams to meet project objectives, and monitor testing outcomes. A minimum of 3 years of experience and an ISTQB certification are required for this position. Strong analytical and leadership skills are essential, with experience in the Finance domain being an advantage.

Job description

Our client seeks a Senior Test Analyst to join their team.

Key Responsibilities

• Designing and executing functional and regression tests.
• Collaborating with change teams (BA/PM), development, and the business, to align testing with business & project objectives.
• Identifying, planning and implementing the test approach across BAU and project workstreams.
• Monitoring estimates against actuals, escalating potential slippage and providing workable options for mitigation.
• Monitoring and reporting on test results, creating & maintaining reporting dashboards, and producing completion reports for stakeholder approval.
• Adhering to testing strategy, processes & procedures to facilitate governance. Maintaining accurate documentation and artefacts for audit and governance purposes.
• Designing, maintaining re-useable regression tests following internal standards, supporting test execution where needed to ensure deadlines are achieved.
• Developing own knowledge of automation technology and practice, to facilitate a shift-left/automation first approach.
• Coordination & support of UAT/BVT testing activities.
• Performance management, training & and support of direct reports.

Key Skills and Experience

• Minimum 3 years of testing experience.
• Excellent understanding of testing principles, techniques and methodologies.
• Strong analytical & problem-solving skills, attention to detail and commitment to quality.
• ISTQB Foundation certificate in Software Testing.
• Experience of test automation is an advantage.
• Excellent communication, collaboration & leadership skills.
• Experience with using Gherkin syntax for test case design.
• Proven track record of delivering to tight deadlines.
• Experience of the Finance domain, and Life & Pensions in particular would be desirable.
• Experience in people management is an advantage, although training will be given to the right candidate.
