Job summary

Our client CPS Group (UK) Limited, a leading specialist insurer, is seeking a Senior Test / Quality Engineer to join their London-based technology team. This hands-on role centers on driving software quality through test automation, exploratory testing, and continuous improvement within Agile product teams.

Key responsibilities include defining testing strategies, designing and maintaining test suites, and collaborating with Agile teams to ensure quality across the SDLC.

Qualifications

• Senior QA/Quality Engineer with hands-on testing and automation.
• Experience with Selenium, Katalon, Playwright, or Cypress in modern test automation.
• Experience in Agile/Scrum environments and CI/CD pipelines.
• Nice to have exposure to Financial Services/Insurance environments.

Responsibilities

• Define and implement effective testing strategies across product deliveries.
• Design, execute, and maintain functional, regression, and automated test suites.
• Contribute to the development and enhancement of test automation frameworks.
• Collaborate with Agile delivery teams to embed quality throughout the SDLC.
• Manage defects, support root cause analysis, and drive resolution activities.
• Provide guidance and support to offshore QA resources as needed.
• Champion best practices and continuous improvement within Quality Engineering.

Our client, a leading specialist insurer, is looking for a Senior Test / Quality Engineer to join their London-based technology team. This is a hands-on role focused on driving software quality through a combination of test automation, exploratory testing, and continuous improvement within Agile product teams

Key Responsibilities

• Define and implement effective testing strategies across product deliveries
• Design, execute, and maintain functional, regression, and automated test suites
• Contribute to the development and enhancement of test automation frameworks
• Collaborate with Agile delivery teams to ensure quality is embedded throughout the SDLC
• Manage defects, support root cause analysis, and drive resolution activities
• Provide guidance and support to offshore QA resources where required
• Champion best practice and continuous improvement within Quality Engineering

Experience Required

• Previous experience in a Senior Quality Engineer, Test Automation Engineer, or similar QA role
• Strong experience with test automation tools such as Selenium, Katalon, Playwright, Cypress, or similar
• Experience working within Agile/Scrum product teams
• Exposure to CI/CD pipelines and modern DevOps practices
• Familiarity with Azure DevOps and test management tools
• Strong stakeholder engagement, communication, and problem-solving skills
• Experience within Financial Services, Insurance, or other regulated environments would be advantageous but is not essential
