Job summary

Enable Resourcing Limited is seeking a Senior Temporary Works Design Engineer to join our client’s engineering team in Central London. You will lead the design and coordination of temporary works for demolition and reinforced concrete projects, ensuring safe, practical and compliant solutions from tender through delivery.

You will work closely with operational, pre-construction and delivery teams, producing designs, calculations and technical reports while mentoring junior engineers and

Qualifications

• Degree in Civil or Structural Engineering is required.
• Proven experience as Temporary Works Design Engineer.
• Strong knowledge of temporary works procedures and industry best practice.
• Ability to produce design calculations and technical reports.
• Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills.

Responsibilities

• Lead design and coordination of temporary works solutions for demolition and structural projects.
• Develop innovative engineering solutions across tender, delivery, and operations.
• Produce and review temporary works designs and calculations.
• Design temporary supports, propping schemes and façade retention solutions.
• Support reinforced concrete substructure and superstructure operations.
• Carry out structural assessments and investigations.
• Liaise with project managers, site teams and external consultants.
• Support tender submissions and constructability reviews.
• Ensure designs comply with legislation, standards and procedures.
• Provide technical guidance and mentoring to junior engineers.
