Placements24 is seeking an experienced Senior Telecommunications Software Developer for its fully remote engineering team. You will design, code, test, and deploy robust telecom software aligned with cutting-edge platforms.

The role emphasizes a strong background in telecommunications protocols, embedded RTOS experience, and cloud/microservices knowledge, with collaboration across product managers and engineers in a remote setting.

Formación

• Bachelor's or Master's degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, Electrical Engineering, or a related field.
• Minimum of 7 years of professional software development experience, with a strong focus on telecommunications software.
• Proficiency in one or more programming languages relevant to telecommunications (e.g., C++, Java, Python, Go).
• Deep understanding of telecommunications protocols and standards (e.g., SIP, RTP, SS7, LTE, 5G).
• Experience with real-time operating systems (RTOS) and embedded systems development is a strong asset.
• Solid understanding of networking concepts and protocols (TCP/IP, UDP).
• Experience with cloud platforms (AWS, Azure, GCP) and microservices architecture is beneficial.
• Excellent problem-solving, analytical, and debugging skills.
• Strong communication and collaboration skills, effective in a remote team environment.
• Experience with version control systems (e.g., Git) and CI/CD pipelines.

Responsabilidades

• Design, develop, and implement high-quality, scalable, and efficient software for telecommunications systems.
• Write clean, maintainable, and well-documented code in languages such as C++, Java, Python, or Go.
• Collaborate closely with product managers, architects, and other engineers to define software requirements and technical designs.
• Develop and execute unit tests, integration tests, and performance tests to ensure software reliability and stability.
• Debug and resolve complex software defects and performance issues.
• Contribute to the architecture and design of new software features and systems.
• Stay current with the latest advancements in software development and telecommunications technologies.
• Participate in code reviews to maintain code quality and share knowledge with the team.
• Optimize software performance and resource utilization.
• Mentor junior developers and contribute to fostering a culture of technical excellence.
