Job summary

Forrest Recruitment is seeking a Senior Technology Operations Analyst in Stoke-on-Trent to join a growing professional services firm. This hands-on role supports the IT infrastructure, drives technology upgrades, and collaborates with cyber security projects to keep enterprise systems secure and reliable.

You will resolve issues, monitor performance, and contribute to continuous improvement within a collaborative IT team.

Qualifications

• Experience with Microsoft 365, Azure and Windows Server environments.
• Strong understanding of Active Directory and identity management.
• Experience supporting enterprise networking and cloud infrastructure.
• Familiarity with cyber security best practices and IT service management processes.

Responsibilities

• Drive automation, standardisation and continuous improvement across IT operations.
• Produce and maintain technical documentation and support procedures.
• Mentor other members of the Technology team.
• Collaborate with Cyber Security team to investigate incidents and strengthen controls.

We are currently seeking an experienced Senior Technology Operations Analyst to join a successful and growing professional services business based in Stoke-on-Trent. • Act as the escalation point for complex technical issues and major incidents.
• Support and maintain Microsoft 365, Azure, Windows Server, Entra ID and Microsoft Intune.
• Manage cloud infrastructure, networking, virtualisation, telephony and end-user technology.
• Monitor system performance and ensure business-critical services remain secure and reliable.
• Support infrastructure upgrades, migrations and technology improvement projects.
• Drive automation, standardisation and continuous improvement across IT operations.
• Produce and maintain technical documentation and support procedures.
• Mentor and support other members of the Technology team.
• Work alongside the Cyber Security team to investigate incidents, manage vulnerabilities and strengthen security controls.

The ideal candidate will be an experienced IT professional with a background in Technology Operations, Infrastructure or Senior Technical Support. You will have strong technical knowledge across Microsoft technologies, including Microsoft 365, Azure, Windows Server, Active Directory, Entra ID and Intune, together with experience supporting enterprise networking and cloud environments. You will also have excellent troubleshooting and problem-solving abilities, a solid understanding of cyber security best practices, experience working within IT service management environments and the ability to communicate effectively with both technical and non-technical colleagues. A proactive attitude, strong organisational skills and a genuine passion for technology are essential.
