Job summary
Amey Consulting is seeking a Senior Technology Engineer to join our Consulting Energy, Lighting & Technology Practice from Bristol, with regional offices in Liverpool, Manchester and Birmingham. You will lead technology design work, coordinate with multi-disciplinary teams and contribute to bids while ensuring high-quality, cost-efficient outcomes.
The role offers hybrid working across the UK, with a focus on delivering safe, compliant and innovative roadside technology solutions for National
Qualifications
- Operational knowledge of roadside technology systems.
- Ability to lead and supervise junior designers or engineers.
- Strong understanding of health and safety requirements in design and site work.
Responsibilities
- Lead a team to produce technically sound engineering designs.
- Prepare and check technology designs, studies, calculations, drawings and documentation.
- Oversee junior staff and coordinate with other design disciplines.
- Manage budget and cost control for deliverables.
- Liaise with clients, contractors and suppliers at peer level.
- Perform site visits to inform designs or assist delivery.
- Compile as-built records and handover documentation.
- Contribute to bids and work-winning activities.
