Job summary

Burson, part of WPP, is seeking an Associate Director in our Technology practice. You will work across large enterprise and B2B clients, bringing an understanding of data-driven communications, AI-powered insights, and multi-channel campaigns to deliver strategic outcomes.

You will lead senior relationships, mentor teams, collaborate with internal specialists and agency partners, and help grow accounts by identifying opportunities and shaping compelling narratives that meet client objectives.

Qualifications

• Proven experience leading senior client relationships and acting as trusted strategic advisor.
• Strong integrated communications across earned, social, content, influencer and corporate.
• Develop high-impact strategies and multi-channel campaigns with measurable outcomes.
• Able to work in complex multi‑agency environments and collaborate with stakeholders.
• Data-driven mindset with knowledge of AI tools and intelligence-led planning.
• Experienced people leader focused on coaching and developing teams.
• Excellent presentation, pitching and influencing senior stakeholders.

Responsibilities

• Lead and grow senior client relationships, providing strategic counsel and ensuring communications programmes deliver against business objectives.
• Develop and oversee integrated communications strategies and creative campaigns across multiple channels.
• Partner closely with internal specialists and agency partners to deliver innovative, insight-led client solutions.
• Drive account growth by identifying new opportunities, selling integrated programmes and supporting new business pitches and proposals.
• Oversee project delivery, ensuring work is delivered on time, on budget and to an exceptional standard.
• Champion the use of data, intelligence and AI-powered solutions to enhance client outcomes and uncover new opportunities.
• Lead, inspire and develop team members through coaching, mentoring, performance management and career development planning.
• Act as a senior ambassador for the agency, contributing to thought leadership, industry visibility, agency culture and continued business growth.
