Job summary

Blue Arrow seeks an experienced Technical Publications Manager to research, author, revise, illustrate, review and release controlled technical publications for complex engineering products. This role converts source engineering information into clear, accurate, compliant documentation for customers, service personnel, and internal stakeholders.

Qualifications

• Degree or equivalent in engineering, science, technical communication, or related discipline.
• Proven technical authoring experience in manufacturing, scientific equipment, engineering, or controlled environments.
• Professional membership or accredited technical communication qualification desirable but not essential.

Responsibilities

• Research, author, revise, and maintain manuals, guides, procedures, and related publications for complex products.
• Author in MadCap Flare using templates, reusable content, variables, condition tags, and controlled source files.
• Gather and verify technical information from engineers, service teams, drawings, specs, photos, and test data.
• Produce and maintain illustrations, screenshots, diagrams, and visual content or coordinate with illustrators.
• Apply document control, revision control, and configuration management throughout drafting, review, release, and obsolescence.
• Run quality checks for structure, terminology, safety content, cross‑references, branding, and accuracy before review.
• Coordinate review with SMEs and support final publication release in PDF and HTML formats.
• Plan and manage assigned work to priorities, communicate status and risks, and improve authoring standards.
