An established industry player is seeking a Senior Technical Underwriter specializing in Property. Location: Midlands & South-West region
In the role of Senior Technical Underwriter – Property, you will utilize your technical knowledge and analytical skills to support growth and improvements in our regional and national portfolio. Reporting to the Regional Underwriting Leader, you will collaborate with local underwriting & sales teams to meet strategic objectives, serve our customers, and strengthen relationships with broker partners and internal stakeholders. As a senior team member, you will provide technical underwriting support and guidance, and support the development of the team. You will also be responsible for driving, analyzing, and delivering strong underwriting results.
The successful candidate should demonstrate a positive, enthusiastic attitude and an inquisitive nature.
You should have established, strong property underwriting experience, a track record of delivering for customers of all sizes, and experience managing complex risks. Additional experience in other lines, especially Casualty, is preferred but not essential. Ideally, you will already be based in the Midlands/South-West area to leverage local market knowledge. We seek someone who challenges processes and decisions with attention to detail, and who is eager to develop and broaden their knowledge. Organizational skills, the ability to prioritize, and meeting deadlines are also essential.
