Working hours: This role is available on a part-time, job-share, or full-time basis.

Location: Midlands & South-West region.

The opportunity: In the role of Senior Technical Underwriter – Property, you will utilize your technical knowledge and analytical skills to support growth and improvements to our regional and national portfolio. Reporting to the Regional Underwriting Leader, you will work closely with local underwriting & sales functions to achieve strategic objectives, deliver for customers, and build relationships with broker partners and internal stakeholders. As a senior team member, you will provide technical underwriting support and guidance, and support team development. You will also be accountable for analyzing and delivering strong underwriting results.

The successful candidate should display a positive, enthusiastic attitude and an inquisitive nature.

What are we looking for? You should have established, strong property underwriting experience, a track record of delivering for customers of all sizes, and experience managing complex risks. Experience in other lines, especially Casualty, is advantageous but not essential. Ideally, you are based in the Midlands/South-West area to leverage local market knowledge. We seek someone who challenges processes with attention to detail and is eager to develop their knowledge. Organizational skills and the ability to prioritize and meet deadlines are essential.
