Role Overview

Due to growth, increasing workload, and team development, we need to fill a new Senior Technical Specialist role. This project-based position performs the Design Authority role across various large projects involving RF solutions.

This role ensures the successful development of multiple projects within a rapidly growing business. We work closely with customers and partner organizations to achieve a market-leading position.

Responsibilities

• Report to the Programme Chief Engineer, providing technical advice and guidance to internal and external teams.
• Develop the next generation of Design Authorities, offering technical oversight and sign-off for Electronic Warfare solutions for Land Based systems.
• Lead the design solution for key campaigns, engaging with authorities and customers to shape technical solutions.
• Develop solution architectures that balance cost and requirements compliance.
• Ensure product design integrity concerning compliance, safety, and security.
• Support planning and facilitate access to technical expertise.
• Promote best practices, knowledge sharing, and continuous improvement.
• Create engineering plans, milestones, and identify risks and opportunities.
• Provide expert guidance across engineering teams and organizations.
• Attend monthly project reviews at the board level.

Qualifications and Skills

• Degree or equivalent in engineering or related field (essential).
• Extensive experience with Electronic Warfare technologies.
• Chartered Engineer or membership in a recognized professional body is desirable.
• Eligible for full security clearance.
• Strong stakeholder engagement, decision-making, and communication skills.
• Experience in the defence industry.
• Knowledge of EW, RF systems, vehicle system integration, and software development is highly desirable.
• Proven success in previous engineering roles across all lifecycle phases.
