Job summary

The Shore Group in London is seeking a Senior Technical Services Manager to own technical delivery from tender through commissioning and handover on major commercial fit-out and retrofit schemes. You will lead design development, coordinate M&E, manage risks, and work closely with clients, consultants and delivery teams to ensure compliant, buildable solutions and high-quality outcomes.

The role requires proven leadership on projects valued at £15 million+ and a strong building services

Qualifications

• Proven experience leading technical delivery on complex commercial construction projects (£15M+ M&E)
• Strong MEP/building services background in commercial projects, mainly offices
• Experience with M&E subcontractor, commercial fit-out contractor, or refurbishment main contractor
• Experience managing pre-construction through handover
• Strong knowledge of building services coordination and UK Building Regulations
• Strong client-facing and stakeholder influence
• Experience identifying and mitigating technical/design risks

The Shore Group have partnered with a Main Contractor who are recognised for delivering some of London's most technically challenging commercial fit out and retrofit projects.

This opportunity is suited to an experienced Technical Services professional who can take ownership of technical delivery from tender stage through to commissioning and handover. You will play a pivotal role in driving project success, managing technical risk, influencing design decisions and ensuring first-class delivery across complex commercial schemes.

This role is suited to an experienced Technical Services professional who thrives in complex project environments, is confident managing technical challenges, and can work effectively with clients, consultants and delivery teams to ensure successful project outcomes.

Key Requirements

• Proven experience leading technical delivery on complex commercial construction projects with an M&E value of £15 Million +


• Strong building services / MEP background which must include commercial projects, primarily offices.


• Current or previous experience working for:


• An M&E subcontractor.


• Commercial fit out contractor.


• Refurbishment or retrofit main contractor.


• Ability to work across multiple projects or lead the technical delivery of a flagship scheme.


• Experience managing projects through pre-construction, design, procurement, construction, commissioning and handover.


• Excellent understanding of building services coordination, technical compliance and UK Building Regulations.


• Strong client-facing skills with the ability to influence key stakeholders.


• Experience identifying, managing and mitigating technical and design risks.
