Job summary

The Shore Group in London is seeking a Senior Technical Services Manager to own technical delivery from tender through commissioning and handover on major commercial fit-out and retrofit schemes. You will lead design development, coordinate M&E, manage risks, and work closely with clients, consultants and delivery teams to ensure compliant, buildable solutions and high-quality outcomes.

The role requires proven leadership on projects valued at £15 million+ and a strong building services

Qualifications

• Proven experience leading technical delivery on complex commercial construction projects (£15M+ M&E)
• Strong MEP/building services background in commercial projects, mainly offices
• Experience with M&E subcontractor, commercial fit-out contractor, or refurbishment main contractor
• Experience managing pre-construction through handover
• Strong knowledge of building services coordination and UK Building Regulations
• Strong client-facing and stakeholder influence
• Experience identifying and mitigating technical/design risks

Responsibilities

• Provide technical leadership across complex commercial projects.
• Coordinate design development to ensure buildable, compliant solutions.
• Lead technical input during pre-construction, tender, procurement.
• Review proposals from consultants/subcontractors for value and excellence.
• Drive technical risk management through project lifecycle.
• Oversee QA, commissioning and handover.
• Work with project teams to ensure successful delivery.
• Maintain relationships with clients, consultants and supply chain.
• Support development of Technical Services Managers and project teams.
• Act as a key technical authority, ensuring safety and high standards.
