The Technical Program Manager role in Prime Video's Device Partnerships organization involves managing high-impact projects with third-party living room partners worldwide. The role requires excellent leadership, delivery skills, strategic thinking, strong technical expertise, and stakeholder management skills to collaborate effectively across teams.

You will establish, build, and manage strong technical relationships with Prime Video's key living room partners, define priorities, work independently, and execute multiple projects globally. You will own project timelines and ensure accountability for deliverables.

You’ll influence and deliver new features and exceptional user experiences across third-party living room devices, engaging with business, product, and technology leaders as a customer advocate.

A successful TPM will have experience working with geographically separated teams and be open to international travel. You will problem-solve, scope, clear roadblocks, coordinate launches, and ensure a great video experience for Amazon and third-party customers.

Key job responsibilities

• Foster strong technical relationships with third-party partners, assessing requirements and feature requests to recommend technical approaches.
• Conduct pre-project discovery and scoping—gather product and roadmap information to develop detailed integration plans.
• Recommend to PV leadership on vetting third-party technology platforms and capabilities for successful engagement, matching partner needs to Prime Video solutions.
• Manage relationships during business development, qualification, and technical implementation stages, optimizing distribution relationships.
• Oversee post-deployment activities, including technical aspects to increase engagement and resolve third-party issues.
• Refine the third-party technical engagement process around integration and distribution.
• Investigate new technologies for Prime Video distribution, identify potential partners, and influence internal roadmaps.
• Manage long-term and tactical interests, coordinating with product, software development, and technical teams to meet technical needs.
• Drive customer experience and engagement improvements with partners.
• Improve processes in third-party qualification and integration.

A day in the life

You will prioritize, work independently, and execute multiple global projects, owning timelines and accountability. You’ll influence and deliver new features across third-party devices, engaging with business, product, and tech leaders to advocate for customers.

About the team

The Device Partnerships team supports third-party launches and maintenance of Prime Video on various living room devices, including smart TVs, streaming media players, game consoles, and set-top boxes. The team works to drive engagement through integration with features like federated search and billing.

BASIC QUALIFICATIONS

• Experience in technical product or program management
• Experience in software development
• Experience managing programs across cross-functional teams, building processes, and coordinating releases
• Experience designing and evaluating system-level technical solutions
• Experience developing and executing product and technical roadmaps

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS

• Experience in project management disciplines including scope, schedule, budget, quality, risk, and critical path management
• Experience defining KPIs/SLA's for multi-million dollar businesses and reporting to senior leadership
