Job summary

Unknown Client, a UK-based manufacturer of high-quality specialist engineered products, seeks a Technical Product Specialist to become the principal technical authority for its sensor range. You will influence both customers and internal teams from initial enquiry through to a finished sensor, delivering technically robust solutions.

You will translate customer needs into manufacturable specifications, advising on materials, accuracy and environmental protection, and work closely with sales,

Qualifications

• An engineering background or related experience.
• Ability to read specifications and translate into practical solutions.
• Strong technical communication and problem-solving skills.

Responsibilities

• Advise customers and distributors on sensor selection, materials, accuracy, response time, environmental protection and standards.
• Turn customer requirements into manufacturable product specifications and sign off within authority.
• Support sales with quotations, technical enquiries and meetings.
• Support drawings, bills of materials, manufacturing instructions, testing and validation.
• Assist design, prototype, test and launch of new products.
• Resolve technical issues with production and quality, including root cause analysis.
• Train sales and production colleagues and build a technical knowledge base.
• Support testing, validation and documentation as the function grows, with potential future line management.
