Job summary

Linde Material Handling in Basingstoke seeks a Senior Technical Product Manager to lead a team of Technical Product Managers and act as the product expert across a defined range of forklift and warehouse equipment.

You will provide technical support to the UK & Ireland Aftersales market, coach engineers, and drive engineering projects involving hardware and software configurations. Travel within the UK and overseas may be required.

Qualifications

• Demonstrable experience in all current systems, features and technologies associated with our product ranges.
• Experience delivering integrated engineering projects including hardware and software configuration and fault analysis.
• Direct people management skills and experience – target & objective setting, performance management, coaching and mentoring.
• Experience in electrical, mechanical, hydraulic & digital systems.
• Experience in materials handling technology
• Ability to propose design modifications to electrical equipment to suit specific needs.
• Good communication skills, both written and verbal, with the ability to communicate confidently at all levels.
• A team player with a flexible approach to working.
• Willingness to travel within the UK and overseas on company business as required.
• Ideally qualified to HNC level/equivalent in engineering or science.

Responsibilities

• Act as product expert across defined range of products to provide technical support to the UK & Ireland Aftersales market.
• Lead a team of Technical Product Managers and drive engineering excellence.
• Coach and mentor engineers to support development and growth.
• Collaborate across engineering functions to ensure hardware & software configurations meet customer needs.

Reporting to the Director UK Technical Operations, leading a team of Technical product managers, you will act as ‘product expert’ across a defined range of our products to provide technical support to the KION / Linde Material Handling UK & Ireland Aftersales market. You will support engineer development through coaching & mentoring.
