Finlay Jude Recruitment Ltd is recruiting on behalf of a leading organisation within the UK water sector for an experienced Technical Lead to support the successful delivery of major clean water and wastewater infrastructure projects.

This role offers technical leadership across AMP capital delivery programmes, ensuring safe, compliant and innovative engineering solutions that deliver long-term value for clients and the environment.

Qualifications

• Degree in Civil, Mechanical, Electrical, or Process Engineering required.
• Significant experience delivering UK water and wastewater solutions.
• Proven leadership of multidisciplinary engineering teams.
• Strong understanding of water industry standards and governance.
• Knowledge of CDM 2015, health & safety regulations.

Responsibilities

• Provide technical leadership across water and wastewater capital projects.
• Lead multidisciplinary engineering teams through feasibility to commissioning.
• Review and approve technical designs, calculations, specs and deliverables.
• Chair technical reviews and governance gateways.
• Ensure compliance with client standards and regulations.
• Champion Safety by Design and CDM responsibilities.
• Identify and mitigate technical risks throughout delivery.
• Support planning, commercial decisions and change management.
• Act as primary technical interface with clients and partners.
• Drive innovation and continuous improvement across projects.
• Mentor engineers and technicians across the business.
