Hydrogen Group is seeking a Senior Technical Business Analyst to support a Risk and Financial Crime transformation in a leading financial services organisation. The role is an INSIDE IR35 Hybrid contract for 9 months, with 2 days per week on-site and hands-on data analysis using SQL.

You will work with senior stakeholders to shape requirements, review data models, and ensure data quality across APIs and integrations, while collaborating with Risk, Architecture and Data Engineering teams.

Qualifications

• Strong senior technical BA experience in complex technology or data transformation programmes.
• Recent, hands-on SQL experience is essential.
• Experience in data profiling, reconciliation, mapping and data quality analysis.
• Understanding of APIs, integrations and end-to-end data flows.
• Confident stakeholder management and ability to challenge requirements independently.
• Experience across Financial Crime, AML, Transaction Monitoring, ER or GRC.
• Financial Services or other highly regulated industry background.

I'm looking for an experienced Senior Technical Business Analyst to support a major Risk and Financial Crime transformation programme within a leading financial services organisation.
This is an INSIDE IR35 Hybrid contract for 9 months, with 2 days per week on-site.
This is a hands-on role combining strong business analysis and stakeholder management with the ability to independently investigate complex data and integration issues using SQL.

Key Responsibilities

• Work with senior stakeholders to shape, challenge and define business and technical requirements.
• Use SQL hands-on to investigate datasets, identify data quality issues and perform reconciliations.
• Analyse system integrations, APIs, data flows and source-to-target mappings.
• Translate technical findings into clear requirements, user stories and acceptance criteria.
• Work closely with Risk, Financial Crime, Architecture and Data Engineering teams.

What I'm Looking For

Desirable: Snowflake, Power BI, GRC platforms, data governance, regulatory remediation and Wealth/Investment Management experience.
This role would suit a technically strong BA who can operate confidently with senior business stakeholders whilst remaining genuinely hands-on with data analysis.
