Experis is recruiting for two experienced Lead Business Analysts / Transformation Consultants to support a major transformation programme within a leading UK financial services organisation.
These are senior, highly visible roles requiring individuals who can operate independently, engage confidently with senior stakeholders and take ownership of complex business challenges from initial discovery through to delivery.
We're looking for people who go beyond traditional business analysis. You'll need to be comfortable working with ambiguity, challenging established thinking and shaping solutions where requirements aren't always clearly defined.
This is an opportunity to make a genuine impact within a complex, fast-moving transformation environment.
We are recruiting across two specialist areas:
Financial Crime Transformation
Financial Crime Compliance (FCC), AML and regulatory change.
Transaction monitoring, sanctions and screening.
KYC, customer due diligence and risk assessment.
Financial crime operating models, controls and process improvement.
Data, systems and technology-enabled transformation.
Enterprise Risk & GRC Transformation
Enterprise Risk Management (ERM) and Governance, Risk & Compliance (GRC).
Risk appetite, KRIs, risk frameworks and controls.
Risk management processes, reporting and governance.
Regulatory change, remediation and control improvement.
Risk technology and operating model transformation.
Candidates should have significant experience within at least one of these areas.
Lead complex business analysis across a major transformation programme.
Work directly with senior business stakeholders, Risk, Compliance and Technology teams.
Take ownership of ambiguous business challenges, shaping and defining requirements rather than simply documenting them.
Facilitate workshops, challenge assumptions and translate business objectives into practical solutions.
Undertake hands‑on analysis, including process mapping, data investigation, SQL and requirements documentation.
Define functional, data, integration and reporting requirements.
Produce high‑quality business requirements, user stories, acceptance criteria and supporting documentation.
Identify dependencies, risks and opportunities across multiple workstreams.
Work closely with technology, engineering and delivery teams to support successful implementation.
Drive activities independently, maintaining pace, quality and stakeholder alignment.
Extensive experience as a Lead Business Analyst, Principal Business Analyst, Senior Transformation Consultant or similar.
Strong background in banking, wealth management, asset management or other regulated financial services environments.
Demonstrable experience across Financial Crime or Enterprise Risk/GRC transformation.
Proven ability to work independently with senior stakeholders and influence business decisions.
Experience shaping business problems and requirements where the initial scope is unclear or evolving.
Strong hands‑on analysis capabilities, including process modelling, data analysis, SQL and documentation.
Experience working across complex technology, data and business transformation programmes.
Excellent communication, facilitation and stakeholder management skills.
Ability to challenge constructively, manage competing priorities and deliver at pace.
We're particularly interested in individuals who have successfully operated in complex transformation environments where they've been expected to bring clarity, structure and direction with minimal supervision.
Experience within management consulting, major regulatory change programmes or large-scale business transformation would be highly beneficial.
You'll combine strong technical and analytical capability with commercial awareness, curiosity, adaptability and the confidence to engage senior decision‑makers.
Importantly, this is a hands‑on role. You'll be expected to undertake analysis, investigate data and produce deliverables yourself, not simply oversee the work of other analysts.
