Job summary

Miller Homes Limited is seeking a Senior Technical Coordinator for our South Midlands Technical team based in Northampton. You will be the main link for Technical issues within the region, coordinating between design and on-site construction to ensure timely and cost-effective resolutions.

The role requires experience in technical coordination within housebuilding, and a solid understanding of Building Regulations/NHBC standards.

Qualifications

• Experience as a Technical Coordinator within housebuilding, consultancy or related field.
• Knowledge of Building Regulations / NHBC standards.
• Qualified to HND/HNC or degree level and/or corporate membership.

Responsibilities

• Work closely with Region to understand Technical needs and liaise with Central Technical Team.
• Assist in selecting and managing consultant and sub-contractor proposals with Technical team.
• Ensure approvals are obtained and information issued for a prompt start on site.
• Make decisions on Technical matters at Area and Regional level.

We are looking to recruit a Senior Technical Coordinator to join our fantastic South Midlands Technical team based in Northampton. The role will see you provide the link between design and on-site construction by being the main point of contact for Technical issues within a Region. When appropriate to subsequently liaise with the Technical Team to ensure all matters are dealt with in a timely and cost effective way.

SENIOR TECHNICAL COORDINATOR RESPONSIBILITIES:

• To work closely within the Region to understand their Technical needs and to act as a key link back into the Central Technical Team to ensure workloads are prioritised and met
• To help determine and manage consultant and sub-contractor proposals in conjunction with the Technical team
• To ensure all approvals are obtained and information received and issued to allow for a prompt start on site.
• To make decisions on an Area and Regional level on all Technical matters

SENIOR TECHNICAL COORDINATOR REQUIREMENTS:

• Have experience as a Technical Coordinator with a housebuilder, consultancy or in a related field
• To have an all-round knowledge of technical issues including a good understanding of Building Regulations / NHBC standards
• To be qualified to HND/HNC or degree level and /or have corporate membership of a recognised professional institute
• To be able to input and help determine and manage consultant and sub-contractor proposals in conjunction with the Technical team
