Job summary

Jobtailor is seeking a Senior Business Analyst to support the delivery of a new underwriting workbench platform. You will translate business and technical needs into solution-ready artefacts for design, build, integration and test teams.

The role requires API definition, data mapping and strong stakeholder engagement across underwriting and policy administration domains in the London Market.

Qualifications

• Proven track record as a technical/solution-focused Senior Business Analyst on underwriting or policy workbench implementation programmes.
• Experience of workbench implementations with a data/system feed into a policy administration platform is essential.
• Strong grounding in APIs, system interactions, and data mapping/definition work within an insurance or London Market context.
• Comfortable operating across both business and technical stakeholder groups, and able to work directly with architects, developers and test teams.

Responsibilities

• Translate business and technical needs into actionable BA artefacts for design, build, integration and test teams.
• Define APIs and system-to-system interactions.
• Develop data mappings, data definitions and mapping rules.
• Define integration requirements across underwriting and policy systems.
• Document policy lifecycle data movement and downstream data flows.
• Produce current- and target-state underwriting process models.
• Create clear, testable and traceable functional requirements specifications.
• Develop data flow diagrams and system handoff definitions.
• Produce controls documentation and policy-lifecycle data movement mapping.
• Create user stories, acceptance criteria and other DevOps backlog updates.
• Contribute to and maintain the technical delivery plan.
