Job Title: Senior Technical Architect (EUC)

Job Location: York, London, or Colchester, UK

Job Type: Contract (6-12 Months)

Overview

As a Technical Architect, you are responsible for creating and maintaining capability strategies and roadmaps for core capabilities aligned with our End-User Experience (EUX) and Core Infrastructure Platforms (CIP) value streams. You will define robust infrastructure solutions across a hybrid cloud environment, engaging in multiple initiatives simultaneously. The role involves identifying new technologies and ensuring architecture reflects in service delivery, working closely with IT teams and stakeholders globally.

Responsibilities
  • Collaborate with business units to define complex technology solutions.
  • Maintain relationships with business and enterprise architecture teams.
  • Act as a trusted advisor across IT Services.
  • Create target and transitional architectures for technical changes.
  • Develop capability strategies and roadmaps, engaging key stakeholders.
  • Provide architectural governance and oversight.
  • Support infrastructure engineering to reflect architectural best practices.
  • Create artefacts like High-Level Design and Solution Assessment.
  • Engage with vendors for technology selection and management.
  • Work with commercial teams to manage costs.
  • Ensure solutions adhere to security and standards.
  • Introduce new technologies and processes for continuous improvement.
Requirements and Experience
  • Build business cases and proposals for stakeholders.
  • Strong influencing and communication skills.
  • Proactive collaborator with a broad understanding of business needs.
  • Self-sufficient, able to work in fast-paced environments.
  • Experience with cloud technologies, especially Azure.
  • Knowledge of infrastructure as code and continuous delivery.
  • Understanding of networks, compute, storage, security, and end-user compute.
  • Awareness of IT trends and improvement areas.
  • Ability to synthesize information and make decisions.
  • Experience with VDI, end-user devices, security, and ZTNA technologies.
