Job summary

Talk Recruitment Ltd seeks a Senior Technical Animator for a Warwickshire-based role in the computer games sector. You will streamline animation pipelines, work with art and programming teams, and help deliver high-quality in-game character and prop animations.

The role requires strong skinning/rigging skills, expertise in Maya, and knowledge of UE4 blueprints or animation networks. A showreel demonstrating technical and artistic abilities is essential.

Qualifications

• Professional experience of animation and technical animation for games.
• Proficient in Maya.
• Experienced in skinning and rigging.
• Ability to develop tools and pipelines for animations.
• Strong showreel of animation/technical skills.
• Understanding of UE4 blueprints or animation networks.
• Strong knowledge of anatomy and character topology.
• Understanding of human figure animation principles.

Responsibilities

• Assist the animation team, streamline and optimise processes.
• Collaborate with art and programmers to build animation toolsets.
• Help implement in-game character and prop animations.
• Assist with skinning, rigging and pipelines.
• Build tools for animations in a UGC environment.
• Work with Art Director and Principal Animator to maintain animation style.
• Build collaborative relationships across the team.
• Understand audience, goals and game ethos.
