Job summary

Wise is seeking a Senior Group Accounting Specialist on a fixed-term contract (FTC) to own accounting under US GAAP and IFRS for new products and services. You will document positions, support product implementations, and explain accounting to non-finance stakeholders and external auditors.

This role requires practical experience in technical accounting, independent decision-making, and strong collaboration across a global finance team.

Qualifications

• Strong knowledge of US GAAP and IFRS.
• ACA/ACCA/CPA or equivalent qualification.
• Experience tackling technical accounting projects.
• Experience managing accounting implementations.
• Independent worker with strong communication.

Responsibilities

• Own accounting under US GAAP and IFRS, including documenting positions and accounting for new products/services.
• Collaborate cross-functionally to embed accounting in business processes.
• Liaise with external auditors and internal stakeholders on accounting policies.
• drive continuous improvements in financial reporting and controls.
