Job Description:

Oversees the administration of insurance and/or reinsurance accounts and contracts, including establishing and maintaining contractual data, processing account bookings, claims handling, and managing related cash flows. Supports underwriters in administrative activities related to underwriting.

• Responsible for entries (treaties and/or facultative) in the accounting and underwriting systems, including modifications
• Enter Terms and Conditions (T&C) into the accounting system accurately
• Review contractual T&C, submit for signatures, and highlight ambiguities or changes
• Check and process accounts and claims advice
• Clarify discrepancies with underwriters, claims experts, cedents, and brokers
• Manage a portfolio of accounts independently
• Resolve problems following guidelines or procedures
• Seek advice proactively and suggest solutions
• Manage cash flow, including setting up client bank accounts, processing payments, and following up on balances
• Perform ICS controls according to guidelines and support underwriters in these controls
• Monitor client accounts/statistics, perform data analysis, and generate reports
• Ensure compliance with sanctions and embargoes by scanning lists and consulting legal if needed
• Maintain documentation in the Document Management System (DMS)
• Communicate effectively with clients via meetings and workshops
• Be accountable for audit purposes

Required experience & competencies

Experience:

• Several years of re-/insurance accounting, underwriting assistance, or controlling experience
• Advanced MS Office skills, especially Excel and Power Query
• Knowledge of Business Object is beneficial
