Job summary

BDO UK LLP is seeking a Senior Analyst or Analyst to join the Tech, Risk & Governance team in Consulting. You will advise on technology risks arising from digital transformation and help clients strengthen governance and resilience across critical systems.

The role offers agile working and career development within a leading UK advisory firm, with exposure to financial services clients and regulatory expectations.

Qualifications

• Experience in technology risk, IT internal audit, IT assurance, risk and controls, gained in professional services, financial services or another regulated organisation.
• Experience in IT general controls, SOX/ICFR; cloud risk; DevOps/SDLC controls; ERP risk and controls; operational resilience; third‑party technology risk; data or AI governance.
• Financial services experience desirable: banks, insurers, asset managers, payments or capital markets; FCA/PRA requirements, outsourcing or third‑party risk expectations.
• A practical understanding of technology risks and controls, with the ability to analyse evidence and communicate business impact clearly.
• Qualifications or progress towards them (CISA, ACA, ACCA, CIA, CRISC, CISSP or cloud certifications) would be advantageous but not essential.

Responsibilities

• Join the Tech, Risk & Governance (TRG) team within Consulting to help clients understand and manage technology risks arising from transformation and digital change.
• Support technology risk assessments, IT internal audits, controls assurance and advisory engagements to strengthen governance, resilience and confidence in clients' critical systems.
