Job summary

BDO seeks a Senior Analyst or Analyst in its Tech, Risk & Governance (TRG) team to help clients understand technology risks, IT controls and assurance engagements. You’ll work on IT internal audits, risk assessments and governance projects for regulated clients, collaborating with senior managers and directors to strengthen resilience and confidence in critical systems.

Qualifications

• Experience in technology risk, IT internal audit, IT assurance, risk and controls, or a closely related discipline.
• Experience in IT general controls and SOX/ICFR; cloud risk; DevOps and SDLC controls; ERP risk and controls.
• Financial services exposure such as banks, insurers, asset managers, or outsourcing/third-party risk.
• Ability to analyse evidence, identify control weaknesses and communicate business impact clearly.
• Strong written and verbal communication, good organization and attention to detail.
• Progress towards professional qualifications such as CISA, ACA, ACCA, CIA, CRISC, CISSP would be advantageous.

As a Senior Analyst or Analyst you'll join our Tech, Risk & Governance team (TRG) part of our Digital practice withing Consulting. This is a rapidly growing business area. You'll help clients understand and manage the risks arising from technology, transformation and digital change. The client base is diverse and you'll support technology risk assessments, IT internal audits, controls assurance and advisory engagements that strengthen governance, resilience and confidence in our clients most critical systems. You’ll be someone with:

• Experience in technology risk, IT internal audit, IT assurance, risk and controls, or a closely related discipline, gained in professional services, financial services or another regulated organisation.
• Experience in one or more relevant areas: IT general controls and SOX/ICFR; cloud risk; DevOps and SDLC controls; ERP risk and controls; operational resilience; third-party technology risk; data or AI governance; end-user computing; programme assurance
• Financial services experience is desirable such as banks. insurers, asset managers, payments or capital markets organisations and frameworks such as FCA and PRA requirements, operational resilience and outsourcing or third-party risk expectations.
• A practical understanding of technology risks and controls, with the ability to analyse evidence, identify control weaknesses and communicate their business impact clearly.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills, good organisation and attention to detail, with the ability to manage priorities
• Relevant qualifications or progress towards them, such as CISA, ACA, ACCA, CIA, CRISC, CISSP or cloud certifications, would be advantageous but are not essential.
