Job summary

Harris Academy Tottenham is seeking a Higher Level Teaching Assistant to support learning in the primary phase. The role focuses on assisting teachers, delivering activities, and supporting children with diverse learning needs.

Salary is set at £26,307.67–£27,853.84 for 38 weeks per year at 37.5 hours per week, with strong CPD opportunities and a collaborative working environment within the Harris Federation.

Qualifications

• GCSE English and Maths at grade C/4 or above.
• NVQ Level 3 or equivalent.
• Experience of contributing to and assessing provision for children with a range of needs.
• Knowledge of social issues facing students from disadvantaged backgrounds.
• At least two years' school-based experience as a TA.

Responsibilities

• Complement teaching staff by delivering learning activities for individuals or small groups under supervision.
• Assist with planning, preparation and assessment as required.
• Support the needs of children who require help to overcome barriers to learning.
• Support teacher and academy to raise standards of achievement for all including SEN/EAL.
