Job Role: Full-Time Senior Teaching Assistant

Salary: £28,.38 per annum

Hours: 37 hours per week, term-time only

Sutherland House School is seeking an enthusiastic, dynamic Senior Teaching Assistant to join our team.

You will have a commitment to supporting with lessons and you will engage with a wide range of stakeholders, including families, therapists and external agencies to ensure all pupils are reaching their full potential.

Sutherland House School is a non-maintained specialist school for autistic children and young people aged 3-19. The school prides itself on creating personalised learning opportunities with a vision for reaching potential for each individual pupil. As a Senior Teaching Assistant, you will play a key role in working with teachers to ensure individualised and group support to autistic children and young people, helping them achieve their full potential in a nurturing, tailored educational environment.

You will work closely with teachers, therapists, and other support staff to implement personalised learning plans, adapt teaching materials, and ensure that children’s social, emotional, and academic needs are met. This is an exciting opportunity to make a real difference in the lives of autistic learners and their families.

Previous experience of working in an additional need’s environment is desirable however full training and support will be given.
