Job summary

Educators is seeking a dedicated Higher Level Teaching Assistant to join Pembrokeshire Learning Centre. The HLTA will work under the direction of lead teachers, deliver sessions to small groups, manage resources and support safeguarding and IDPs.

Experience with ALN and understanding safeguarding is beneficial; applicants must be registered with the Education Workforce Council (EWC). The post is for 30 hours per week during term time across 45.8 weeks per annum.

Qualifications

• Relevant knowledge and experience of pupils with ALN would be beneficial.
• Understanding safeguarding principles and child protection procedures.
• Registration with the Education Workforce Council (EWC) is required for this post.

Responsibilities

• Work under the direction of the Lead Teacher and Classroom Teacher.
• Plan, prepare and deliver sessions to small groups of students.
• Manage classroom resources.
• Manage heightened behaviours and keep children safe.
• Assist in the preparation of materials and displays.
• Contribute to the delivery of individual development plans (IDPs)
