Job summary

Teaching Personnel Ltd. is seeking a caring ALN Teaching Assistant to support pupils with Additional Learning Needs in a Cowbridge school. The role focuses on 1:1 and small group help, differentiating activities, and promoting independence and confidence in learners.

You will work closely with teachers to monitor progress, adapt instruction, and create a safe, inclusive classroom. DBS checks and references are required; suitable candidates may hold TA Level 2/3 or equivalent qualifications.

Responsibilities

• Provide 1:1 and small group support to pupils with Additional Learning Needs.
• Assist the class teacher in delivering engaging and differentiated learning activities.
• Support pupils with needs including autism, ADHD, speech and language difficulties, and social, emotional and behavioural needs.
• Encourage pupil independence, confidence, and engagement in learning.
• Monitor and record pupil progress; provide feedback to teaching staff.
• Help create a safe, inclusive classroom environment.
• Build positive relationships with pupils, staff, parents, and external professionals.
