Job description

We are seeking a highly motivated and experienced Tax Manager to join our UK Tax & Treasury team. This is a key role offering broad exposure across corporate and indirect tax, with a strong emphasis on compliance, planning, and transaction support.

Responsibilities

1. Corporate Tax Compliance & Reporting: Take ownership of the corporation tax compliance and reporting obligations for a portfolio of UK trading and holding companies, ensuring timely and accurate filings.
2. UK Group Tax Planning & Risk Management: Collaborate with the wider team on group tax planning, compliance oversight, risk management, CFC reviews, and transfer pricing.
3. Indirect Tax & Transactional Support: Provide strategic tax input on business transactions and projects, including ad hoc indirect tax guidance to UK operations.
4. Tax Review & Oversight: Review indirect tax returns prepared by the UK Finance team, ensuring accuracy and compliance.
5. Manage compliance processes for trading and corporate companies to ensure accurate and timely tax return filings, legal documentation, and HMRC enquiries response.
6. Prepare tax reporting for various business units at quarter-end, year-end, and for planning/budgeting.
7. Support in managing the UK tax charge reporting and submission of key figures to Group Tax.
8. Assist in UK group tax planning and calculations, ensuring compliance and timely submissions.
9. Support UK compliance processes, including HMRC enquiries and group-wide compliance requirements.
10. Identify opportunities to mitigate UK direct and indirect tax charges.
11. Ensure UK tax risk management systems and controls are compliant.
12. Develop links between the UK tax, finance, and operational teams for transaction and project support.
13. Support tax projects as appropriate.
14. Provide technical support on other taxes such as employee taxes, VAT, CIS, customs, and others, including review, submission, and audit monitoring.
