Senior Tax Advisor

EY’s Financial Services (FS) Tax practice is the largest in the UK, renowned for sector expertise and trusted adviser relationships with clients including global financial institutions, boutiques, new entrants, and disruptors.

The opportunity

Our Private Capital Tax team advises on wealth and asset management, working across asset classes like hedge funds, private equity, credit, and real estate, with clients in the UK, US, Europe, and globally. We aim to grow significantly in these areas and seek exceptional candidates.

We also advise principals of these firms, providing personal tax compliance and advisory services, with a focus on cross-border tax and transactional support.

We seek Senior Tax Advisors experienced in asset management tax advisory, including international fund structuring and UK corporate tax issues.

Your Key Responsibilities

1. Advising on tax matters including fund tax, international tax, UK corporation tax, income tax, and capital gains tax.
2. Managing a portfolio of long-term clients, building trusted relationships.
3. Communicating with clients verbally and in writing.
4. Collaborating with EY offices in the UK and abroad.
5. Engaging with HM Revenue & Customs and other third parties.

Skills And Attributes For Success

1. Experience advising asset management clients and international tax matters.

3. Strong tax technical knowledge, especially in asset management.

Minimum Qualifications

2. Experience in wealth and asset management tax advice.
3. Relevant qualification (e.g., CTA, CA, ACA, ATT).
4. Eligibility to work in the UK.
