Job summary

Volta is seeking an experienced headhunter to build and lead global talent pipelines for its AI infrastructure delivery teams. You will work directly with Volta’s leadership to shape briefs, map international markets and engage leaders who can drive major data centre projects.

You will identify, approach and secure exceptional executives and senior professionals, including those not actively looking for changes, across multiple regions and time zones.

Qualifications

Build the teams delivering the next generation of AI infrastructure.

We are looking for an experienced headhunter who understands the data centre market and can engage exceptional people who are not actively looking for their next role.

Working directly with Volta’s delivery leadership, you will help build the teams designing, constructing and commissioning our AI factories globally.

We are building a global delivery organisation spanning design and engineering, procurement, construction, project controls and commissioning. We need specialists and leaders who can take major data centre programmes from early planning through to operational handover.

Your role is to find them, understand what would make them move and bring them into Volta.

About the role

This is a hands on headhunting role with direct access to the leaders building our delivery organisation.

You will understand their plans, shape search briefs, map international markets and build relationships with people whose experience can make a real difference to our projects.

Your remit is global. You will search across countries and regions, identifying where the strongest talent sits and building pipelines around our current projects and future growth.

We are looking for someone who can turn a technical brief into a focused search, open conversations with hard to reach people and secure exceptional hires.

What you will do

• Own specialist and leadership searches across global data centre delivery, from the initial brief through to an accepted offer.
• Work with delivery leaders to understand the technical requirements, project environment and experience each role needs.
• Map businesses and teams across hyperscale, colocation, developers, EPC contractors, engineering consultancies and the wider delivery supply chain.
• Identify and directly approach people with a strong record of delivering complex, mission critical infrastructure.
• Engage candidates who are not actively looking, giving them a clear and compelling reason to consider Volta.
• Assess what candidates have personally delivered, including project scale, technical complexity, leadership responsibility and results.
• Build international talent pipelines ahead of upcoming projects and hiring needs.
• Guide candidates through the process, maintaining momentum from the first conversation through to joining.
• Give hiring leaders clear updates on search progress, market feedback and decisions needed.

What you bring

• A strong record of securing specialist or leadership talent within data centres or closely related infrastructure markets.
• Proven headhunting, direct sourcing and market mapping skills, with examples of successful hires generated through your own outreach.
• A working understanding of the data centre development and construction lifecycle, including how design, engineering, procurement, construction and commissioning connect.
• Experience delivering international searches and engaging candidates across different markets and time zones.
• Confidence working with senior technical and delivery leaders, asking good questions and challenging a brief when needed.
• The ability to explain a complex opportunity clearly and represent Volta credibly to experienced candidates.
• Strong ownership of several critical searches, with consistent communication and follow through.
• Flexibility to work across time zones and travel internationally when required.

You may come from specialist recruitment, executive search, an embedded talent team or an internal recruitment function. What matters is your understanding of the market and your ability to find, engage and secure excellent people.

The people you hire will lead projects, build specialist teams and deliver the infrastructure behind our global AI platform.

You will work directly with delivery leadership, understand where the business is going and help shape the teams needed to get there. As the organisation grows, you will have the opportunity to establish relationships across the global data centre market and see your hires take projects through to delivery.
